A slim, tall for her type average for normal humans woman, she stands at 5'5 and wears medium to light armor including gloves. Her hair falls past her waist, an unusual shade of violet, peering (sometimes through this mass) at the world with a mix of disdain and bloodlust her eyes are an equally unusual lavender color. It looks like she's only rarely been exposed to sunlight leaving her skin oddly pale despite having a hint of natural color. She is never out of the company of a rather large two handed axe (an exotic Widowmaker axe) made of adamantine metal. (thanks to the editors of the image above)

1) Describe yourself as someone meeting you for the first time would see you. (Race?, Gender?, Age?, Size? Coloration? Attractiveness?, Dress? Do you try to emphasize or hide any of these features?)
Standing at 5'5 Aeron is rather on the small side of average for a normal human though her body is well built and strong despite that average size. Flowing freely past her waist, waves of violet hair curl over the back of carefully fitted mithril armor and stand in sharp contrast to oddly pale skin and her short blue skirt. Despite her quite diminutive skirt her legs show very little skin, covered nearly to the hem of her clothing by long boots. Her arms are similarly covered by shoulder length gloves, leaving her upper chest and upper back partially exposed but little else. Often seen with a wide brimmed black Fedora hat and a pair of silver rimmed obsidian glasses protecting her pale lavender eyes from the glare of hateful light.
2) What other details would someone notice on a closer look? (Distinguishing marks, birthmarks, scars, etc?)
Oddly despite being a front line fighter with a habit for getting beaten to hell Aeron's skin is flawless.. what can be seen of it. Under her skirt above the top of her boots there are two patchs of heavy scarring that show any time she decides to sit like she isn't wearing a miniskirt. These patches are in line with the femoral artery. Similar scarring is hidden on her arms by the long gloves. On her back starting at the base of her neck and extending over both shoulders is a tattoo in black. A raven or crow, the art style smudged a bit, the wings stretched out across her shoulders, the tail ending at the bottom of her shoulder blades the birds head is turned to her left, beak opened to show serrated fangs and the only drop of color to the design is a single beady eye done in blood red. Those with any knowledge of Religion would likely note this as a symbol of the Goddess of Conflict, The Morrigan.
3) Do you have a distinctive way of speaking or any other mannerisms or memorable behavior?
Aeron generally tries not to speak, when she does she is shockingly articulate and intelligent, not at all the big stupid warrior that most would expect.. she has a distinct lack of social grace and charm however…
B: Birth and Family
1) Where and when were you born? (Also good to include: Do you know your exact birthdate? Did anything unusual (storms, accidents, deaths, etc?) happen about the same time, with which some people might still associate your birthdate?)
Aeron's birth date is unknown, it was approximately 21 years ago but other than that no one paid any attention. Nothing particular happened around that time that didn't happen all the time.
2) Who are your parents? (Names, Occupations, Social class, Were they married?, Are they still alive? are all good things to include)
Slaves. Aeron never met them and chances are they didn't know each other, and that both are now deceased.
3) Do you have any siblings? (If so, it would be good to describe them as you did your parents above.)
Possibly, but if so they are half siblings and have never met Aeron, no would she know them if she saw them unless they shared her uncommon hair color or eyes… and even then she'd probably care very very little and the tie of blood wouldn't keep her from laying them out as corpses.
4) Do you know any members of your extended family? (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins? Also would be good to describe them as above)
5) How did you get along with your family?
She'd as soon kill them as speak to them, as most of her family is slave to Underdark vampires, or dead, she doesn't particularly foresee it becoming a problem… Not that she'd know her family if she tripped over it.
C: Education and Work
1) Did you serve an apprenticeship in order to learn your current profession/class? For how long?
To a degree: Aeron had a teacher in the 'art' of hitting things with a big sword when she was thrown into the army for displeasing and boring her master. She took to the skill rather quickly, and was only really taught for a few months, learning all the base skills she later expounded on through practice on her own.
2) If you were not an apprentice, how did you learn your trade/skills/ect? Formal schooling? Informal Teachers? Self-Taught?
3) Who was your master or teacher? (Race? Gender? Appearance? Personality?) Is he/she still alive? How were you treated? Are/Were you on good terms with your master?
A fellow lightlost human, Zahir, 5'8 with short black hair and electric green eyes he originally just wanted into Aeron's pants but was quickly shut down by Aeron losing her temper and showing a trait most house slaves didn't have.. decent strength. After breaking Zahir's jaw he rethought his approach and actually took her in to learn the sword.. Aeron hasn't seen him since that year, The little border war between vampires ended and she was reclaimed by her owner for various reasons.
4) Did your teacher have any other apprentices or students? Who were they? Did you get along?
Not really, He, like Aeron, didn't really like people, but Aeron impressed him.
5) Due to the rarity of literacy in this setting, how important are books, writings, letters, ect. to your character? Regardless as to whether or not he/she can read?
Books are books, they are things full of words. Aeron won't even walk across the street to protect a book unless the subject matter interests her.
6) Do you have a job other than "adventurer"? Who do you work for? How much of your time does this require?
Arena fighter.. She spends most of her days not adventuring honing her skills in the coliseum against the greatest of all prey.. other people.
1) Who were your friends as a child? As an adolescent? As an adult?
Friends? Who needs or wants those when they just die anyway.
2) How many of these people are still alive? How many are you still friends with?
Most likely everyone she knew has passed on, or is still a slave in Underdark meaning they are dead people walking awaiting the whim of a cruel owner to end their pitiful existence.
3) Who is/was your best friend? What is the most memorable thing that the two of you ever did together?
Aeron grew up with no one close.. and she remains like that save a very very few people. Her dearest friend is Rhea, a dwarf , though she's had friendly encounters with a few others.
4) What do you look for in a friend?
Nothing.. Friends are something Aeron neither wants or needs, or so she's convinced herself. The only person to break through that resistance to people is Rhea Steelheart, a dwarf that she's adventured with a few times. Rhea is someone Aeron trusts and likes enough to have the occasional drink and chat with as well as to have her back when things get violent.
5) Have you ever been in love? Was it reciprocated? Do you have (or have you had) a boy-/girlfriend, a lover, or a spouse? More than one? Are you looking for one? What do you look for in a romantic partner?
Love.. is tricky.. She has feelings for Victor but she doesn't particularly like him half the time. He's persistent and resilient, slowly wearing away at the walls built up to protect a fractured mind.. but she doesn't love him, or anyone else, including herself. She's not particularly looking for a spouse or lover and has no list of demands for one, she mostly wants to just be left alone, not that she ever gets that.
E: Attitudes and Beliefs
1) What are your beliefs about religion and the afterlife? Do you follow any particular god or gods? What appeals to you most about this religion? Least?
Religion is mostly lip service prayers offered to the masters that don't beat on you (gods). While she doesn't disbelieve in gods, she simply doesn't give a damn about any other than The Morrigan, to whom she feels a connection, Aeron's life is a constant conflict and she embraces the violence, quite willing to bathe the world in blood, given a chance.
2) Where do spirits of nature, the elements and the dead fit into these beliefs?
As long as they leave her alone anything but the undead don't particularly feature in Aeron's thoughts.. Being that she's been abused by vampires she harbors what can only be called a homicidal hatred of vampires and their undead kin.
3) What gods, religions, or priesthoods will you have nothing to do with?
Religion matters so little a that as long as they leave her choices alone She'll associate with anyone.
4) What is your moral code? Under what conditions will you kill? Steal? Lie? Do you have a personal code of behavior about violence? Magic? Sex? Dealing with Evil Beings?
Looking at her funny could result in death by giant axe.. Stealing isn't stealing if the former owner is dead, its merely looting the battlefield which is fine with Aeron… She lies badly so rarely bothers with it.. if she could get away with it and it'd help her survive? she'd lie in a heartbeat. Survival at all costs is her personal code, she thrives on violence.. Magic is magic and something to either be helpful or made dead. Evil is evil, more fun than good.. Sex, and touch in general, are difficult for the former slave, who suffered greatly at the hands of a sadistic owner, she typically sees any attempt to touch as a threat of pain and reacts with violence, even with people she likes.. Similarly sex is a subject that must be carefully approached as she is as likely to snap as to enjoy herself.
5) How committed are you to seeing through something (a task, quest, bargain, etc) that you have started?
Relatively, unless it proves to dangerous to her survival, in which case? Well if it offers a chance for good conflict she might still do it..
6) How important are the following to you?: Power, Wealth, Fame, Honor, Family, Friends, Love, Knowledge, Religion, Your job? To what lengths would you go to acquire or preserve these things?
Power: Without power there is nothing. Money is a way to get power, Fame is a way to get power, Knowledge is power so those things are of lesser importance but still, as they are a source of security..
Honor is a code for other people, she doesn't care for it at all, Family friends and love fall into this category as well.. she would fight for certain people, but if they can't man up and fight for themselves they are better off dead, and the loss of one of them wouldn't further shatter her.
Religion is mostly full of weaklings, she ignores it if it isn't her own chosen patron.
7) How often do you remember your dreams? How much attention do you pay to them? Do they inspire you? Guide you? Inspire You? Warn you? Frighten You?
Most of the time, she has nightmares on a fairly regular basis, mostly of waking up back in the dark, chained in the transport, locked in her basement room.. in the dungeon.. anywhere in her old life.. It terrifies her.
8) What is your attitude towards magic? People who use it? Fearsome monsters? The unknown in general?
Its helpful or its to be killed, she doesn't particularly care for monsters subscribing to the 'if it breathes it dies' school of handling the unknown.
F: Edges and Flaws
1) What are you especially good at? What sets you apart from the rest of the world? A skill? An unusual knack? A certain flair of style or wit?
Aeron is particularly good at anything that involves death and conflict.. she's got no marketable skills other than that. Her sense of humor is nearly non-existent and what is there focuses heavily on being sarcastic and possibly evil.
2) What flaws do you have? Bad habits? Obsessions? Terrible (or embarrassing) secrets?
Many.. Aeron's a homicidal nearly evil maniac, she's paranoid to the extreme about vampires and very few know where she resides in an effort to keep her home safe from the touch of the undead. Her history is mostly a guarded secret, known by few as is the fact that she can be a perfect lady and possesses the clothes and jewelry to fit into a polite situation.
3) Do you have any enemies? How much trouble do those conflicts cause you?
Her former master is likely rather pissed that she escaped rather than going off to be forced to bear children until one came out with her violet hair, which was her best feature as far as he was concerned. The conflict doesn't really bother Aeron as she is, as far as she knows, safe on the surface for now.
G: Likes and Dislikes
1) What do you love? (People? Places? Creatures? Kinds of Food? Activities? Subjects?)
Chaos and conflict are about the only things Aeron truly loves. She likes certain foods, sweets that she never had as a child, bacon and she's a borderline alcoholic so one could argue she likes booze as well. She's fond of a total of two people for wildly different reasons. Rhea because Rhea seams just as prone to conflict and defending herself as Aeron is, and they get along well enough. And Victor because irritating or not he offers some things that she needs, a steady and stable person who at the moment seems dependable.. and other things.
2) What do you hate? How do you typically react to these hated things?
Vampires. They all must be made redead, horribly as possible. Undead of all stripes. The sun, so she wears a hat and glasses given to her by Victor to combat the worst of the light blindness in noncombat situations. Weakness… She detests slaves and slavery and is just likely to kill both sides, the slaves for not escaping, the slavers for being slavers.
3) What do you fear? What is your worst nightmare?
Vampires, her former owner in particular.
1) Describe your first encounter with a nonhuman monster. (Not counting player races, animals, etc that you grew up with, but feel free to mention them too)
Her first exposure to a nonhuman monster was likely the bugbear in her first quest, Catch and Release program, Waking up in chains with a bugbear jailor that appeared a moment later she punched it out with the help of a scrappy little dwarf, stole its knife and killed all its kobold friends.
2) If you are a spellcaster, describe your first experience with using magic. What were the circumstances? Were you expecting it?
3) If you have an animal companion or familiar, describe how you acquired it. Describe this ally's personality, and its attitude towards you. (Loyal unto death, mischievous, lazy, etc)
4) If you have any unusual possessions, describe how you acquired them. Is their value practical, monetary, sentimental or some combination of these?
5) Please describe your characters general background, this may be any length you wish, but at least one paragraph. You may use any or all of the information above, or new information not covered. (Encouraged)
Born to a slave breeder in Underdark 20+ years ago Aeron has NOT had a pleasant life. By age five she was already problematic, to intelligent, always finding ways out of the barracks in which she was housed with 10 or so other children her age she was beaten on a regular bases for a year then finally simply locked in a cage like a dog. Around age 8 she was purchased by Donovan Cole, a vampire lord of the area. He never made it a secret the little girl was purchased simply because she's a pretty thing, her hair matching the family crest colors for his household, though she was often chastised for having inappropriately colored eyes. While this could have been magically mended Donovan preferred to have one more reason to make the girl feel unimportant and flawed. For about four years Aeron, called Haelara as she wasn't givin a name at birth, lived an almost peaceful existence, to young to do much to , small and strong for her age though she often was sent to do menial tasks and lifting, further honing her strength and durability. Around age 13 or so the real hell began. She existed in this torment for around 7 years, often bled to the point of blacking out from blood loss, beaten and abused in every way an ancient evil creature could consider.
Eventually he bored of her, she'd ceased reacting, her mind badly scarred by her life to that point though a core stubbornness remained. Thrown to the common slaves of the army she met a man named Zahir who managed to trip into the minefield that is Aeron's fractured mind, he showed her something that she'd never gotten before, Respect for her strength. He taught her how to wield a sword and inflict suffering on others, he helped her pick a name that suited her, Aeron, and generally gave her back a sense of self that had nearly been beaten out of her. It was heaven for the broken woman, violence, perhaps affection though she and Zahir never had anything beyond a friendship.. all things had to end at some point.. in this case the end of the conflict between two vampire lords ended. One day Aeron was simply grabbed, stripped and thrown back into a crate, returned to Donovan who had since found other things to entertain him. Almost immediately Aeron was shipped off to the very same breeder from whom she'd been purchased, to be bred to create a more obedient child with her same violet hair and 'more appropriately colored eyes'. Aeron however had other plans. She broke out during transport, killed the guard and stole his gear along with the things she'd been being transported with, a few bits of clothing, and started for the surface world, narrowly managing to escape Underdark before being captured for her first adventure, one involving a bugbear.. where she picked up the axe she uses to this day.
