Character History:
I was born in Avalon City, to a wizard, Curoy Del Kaylos III and a sorceress, Aolyn. My mother died in childbirth, I was their only child. My father, grandfather, great grandfather, and so on for seven generations, were all wizards. And the all worked as "advisers" to the King's council, regarding the magical affairs encountered by the kingdom's Guard. Needless to say, they also had other functions, frequently traveling with the Guard on "missions". I can not speak directly of these assignments, as I have been sworn to secrecy regarding them. As you may have guessed, I was also trained by my family to assume the same role as them. I began training as a young boy of six years. My father was a master Transmuter, and before he died, he instructed me in the ways of transmutation. My secondary specialization was to serve as a linguist for infernal, celestial, or planar events and I have been trained in several uncommon tongues. As I mentioned, my father is dead. He was murdered when i was sixteen years of age. You will have to forgive me, but I wish to speak no more on that subject. As you may be able to tell, misfortune has a way of following me around. When I was twenty years of age, I found reason to abandon my training and my legacy. All I am willing to say of this event is that I believe a bad command decision was made and avoidable losses occurred. I have yet to hear from anyone from the Guard, or my grandfather. I expected something, anything, but in the three years since i have left, I have yet to receive even a single letter. At this point, I am still rather unsure with where to go from here, so I guess I'll just have another drink and figure it out..
A: Appearance

Kaylos is a handsome human in his mid 20's. He has shoulder length brown hair and malachite eyes. He dresses himself in various scholar robes, most fit for a noble. Despite the fact he most often wears these elaborate robes, he always carries good traveling attire with him. He tries to stay well shaved but often he is distracted for days on end and typically forgets to shave.
2) What other details would someone notice on a closer look? (Distinguishing marks, birthmarks, scars, etc?)
Kaylos has a thin gold band around each of his pupils. while not unnatural in any way, it does typically stand out.
3) Do you have a distinctive way of speaking or any other mannerisms or memorable behavior?
Kaylos speaks with a very down to earth attitude, but still remains well spoken. Generally he speaks with a good sense of intellect and often seems to be not only engaging in conversation with his acquaintance , but engaging in something else entirely in his own head. He also has a weasel…

Curoy Del Kaylos the Third was Kaylos' father, a transmuter who instructed Kaylos in the art. His mother Aolyn, a Sorceress, died in childbirth. Kaylos does not speak of this.

Kaylos was an only child.
4) Do you know any members of your extended family? (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins? Also would be good to describe them as above)
Kaylos' Grandfather was in the same line of work as Kaylos and his Father. Service to the Kings Council regarding the magical and planar encounters of the Gaurd was the family business.
5) How did you get along with your family?
Kaylos' father was murdered when Kaylos was 16 years of age. Kaylos' only surviving family member is his Grandfather, who has always belittled and dismissed him. And since Kaylos' desertion from the Gaurd, he can only theorize that his grandfather's dislike for him has worstened.
