A1: Describe yourself as someone meeting you for the first time would see you.
Dahlia appears to be a strikingly beautiful human woman, nearly always seen wearing an immaculately polished suit of full plate armor. Hanging from the left pauldron on a silver chain is the holy symbol of Tamara, goddess of Mercy. Her hair is vibrant red and extends down her back, brushing against the backs of her knees and her eyes are a piercing green. From her back arc two majestic white-feathered wings, they are large and muscular, and quite obviously not just for show.
A2: What other details would someone notice on a closer look?
Dahlia hides little about herself, on a closer look, people would notice that she takes great care in her personal hygiene, but she has no tattoos, scars or birthmarks.
A3: Do you have a distinctive way of speaking or any other mannerisms or memorable behaviour?
Dahlia can be a bit of a flirt sometimes, if she is speaking to someone she finds attractive.
B1: Where were you born?
Dahlia believes that she was born on a small, independently owned farm on the outskirts of Avalon City. In truth, however, she was born off of the Prime Material Plane, in the Seven Mounting Heavens of Celestia.
B2: Who are your Parents?
The couple that raised Dahlia were: Joseph, an ex-soldier and humble farmer, and his wife, Persephone, a simple farm-girl and Joseph's childhood sweetheart. Joseph was killed in a Hobgoblin raid upon the farmlands, and Persephone died of grief shortly after, forcing Dahlia to seek shelter in a temple of Tamara. Dahlia's real parents were: Cerafina, an aasimar wizard who spent most of her time an alternate planes, and Nadesya, an Astral Deva. Dahlia should have been born a full-celestial, however, Cerafina was killed trying to escape from Nadesya as the former Astral Deva fell from grace and became an Erinyes. Tamara took pity upon the dying child in her mother's womb and formed her a human body upon Therafim, placing the celestial soul within.
B3: Do you have any Siblings?
Cerafina and Nadesya have no other children. However, Joseph and Persephone had one other child, a son, two years older than Dahlia. His name was Markkus. Markkus lost his life in a tragic accident while their father was off trying to protect the farming community from the Hobgoblins.
B4: Do you know any members of your extended family?
Dahlia is not aware of any other family members besides those that have perished.
B5: How did you get along with your family?
Dahlia and Markkus got along as well as a brother and sister could, and she was simply adored by her foster parents.
C1: Did you serve an apprenticeship in order to learn your current profession/class? And if so, for how long?
Dahlia served in the Abbey of the Merciful Mother for 9 years before granted the status of Paladin at age 20.
C2: If you were not an apprentice, how did you learn your trade/skills/ect?

C3: Who was your master or teacher?
Dahlia was taught by Sister Marigold Whispersteel, an elven paladin of Tamara, who still teaches at the Abbey to this day. She trains one pupil for ten years before releasing them, and she keeps only one student at a time, and all of them always female. Sister Marigold was the first woman that Dahlia ever developed a crush on.
C4: Did your teacher have any other apprentices or students?
Sister Marigold did not have any other students during Dahlia's apprenticeship. Her last student was a failure, Svetlana Orisiri, once a paladin of Tamara, now a Blackguard worshiping Apophis and leading a cult of Yuan-ti.
**C5: Due to the rarity of literacy in this setting, how important are books, writings, letters, ect. to your character?
Dahlia cannot read, and it embarrasses her constantly, but she always takes great care to preserve writings that don't immediately strike her as evil.
C6: Do you have a job other than "Adventurer"
When Dahlia is not out of the city, she works as a Knight-Templar at the local temple of Tamara.
D1: Who were your friends as a child? As an adolescent? As an adult?
Dahlia's only friend as a child was her brother, they would often play games and pretend to be adventurers. As an adolescent, she saw little other than Sister Marigold. As an adult she has met many people that she considers friends in Avalon.
D2: How many of these people are still alive? How many are you still friends with?
Only the people she has met recently. And she hasn't cast away anyone that she considers a friend.
D3: Who was your best friend? What is the most memorable thing that the two of you ever did together?
Dahlia's best friend was always Markkus, until one day, the two of them were playing. Dahlia assumed the role of the villain for Markkus to battle with their wooden toy swords. Markkus lost his balance and fell forward as he swung, splintering Dahlia's sword and accidently impaling himself upon the razor sharp edge, killing him instantly. To this day, Dahlia still blames herself for the accident.
D4: What do you look for in a friend?
Becoming Dahlia's friend is rather easy. She can be very forgiving and accepting of everything but acts of evil.
D5: Have you ever been in love? Was it reciprocated? Do you have (or have you had) a boy-/girlfriend, lover or spouse? More than one? Are you looking for one? What do you look for in a romantic partner?
Dahlia is currently very much in love with Alieena and it is returned. It is common knowledge that the relationship is somewhat 'open', however Dahlia does not go out of her way looking for romantic partners anymore. Though it still happening is not unheard of.
E1: What are your beliefs about religion and the afterlife? Do you follow any particular god or gods? What appeals to you most about this religion? Least?
Dahlia is a devout follower of Tamara, she -knows- what happens to souls when their bodies die. The church of Tamara pulled her out of a deep depression, and she will owe them for the rest of her life, however her views on love and sexual relationships puts her at odds with some of the more conservative clergy.
E2: Where do spirits of nature, the elements and the dead fit into these beliefs?
Nature spirits exist.. and Dahlia respects them, but she knows little about them, the same with the elements. The dead are to be respected, no matter who they were in life.
E3: What gods, religions, or priesthoods will you have nothing to do with?
Dahlia does not consort with any evil god or religion.
E4: What is your moral code? Under what conditions will you kill, steal, lie? Do you have a personal code of behavior about violence? Magic? Sex? Dealing with Evil beings?
Dahlia has a very rigid moral code, she only kills when it is absolutely necessary, she does not steal, and endeavors her best to never lie. She only resorts to violence in the face of evil, or if there is no other option. She views magic as a tool, neither good nor evil. Her view on sex is very open-minded as long as noone gets hurt and trickery is not used. She will not deal with evil beings if there is any choice in the matter.
E5: How committed are you to seeing through something that you have started?
Normally Dahlia will see every task through to it's end, however she is not unwise enough to not notice a lost cause.

Dahlia rarely remembers her dreams, but they are always peaceful and comforting, unless there is an outside influence.

Dahlia feels that magic is a weapon that can be used for good or evil, just like a sword. She is wary of powerful monsters and the unknown, but she never lets her courage falter.

Due to her own impressive mane.. Dahlia is actually quite skilled at styling hair.

Dahlia cannot read, and she can be seduced rather easily by a determined person that she is attracted to.

At current, Dahlia does not have any solid enemies that she knows of.

Dahlia loves the people of the world, and is a bit of a hedonist. Her favorite drink is a simple ale, and favorite food is fresh-baked bread.

Dahlia hates those who would willingly cause harm to others, no matter what the reason, and when she is witness to these things, she has a tendency to lose her temper.
G3: What do you fear?
The one thing that would cause fear in this Paladin.. would be any of her loved ones in a life-threatening situation.
H1: Describe your first encounter with a nonhuman monster.
The first 'monster' that Dahlia encountered was a hobgoblin that she witnessed kill her foster father.. she drew his sword and prepared to fight it. If it weren't for the quick actions of a farmhand, she would have been cut down next.
H2: If you are a spellcaster, describe the first experience using magic.
Dahlia was prepared with the knowledge of praying for spells and channeling them, and the first time the magic flowed through her, she was overwhelmed with the feelings of love and acceptance from Tamara.
H3: Describe your animal companion.
Valiant is Dahlia's warhorse.. and one of her closest companions. He is tempermental, spoiled, and thinks that he is human. Much like the horse from Brisco County Jr. :3

Markkus' death is what solidified Dahlia's stance on never becoming the villain, no matter the cost. That is why she attempted to fight a hobgoblin warrior at the age of 11. When she was taken in by the Tamaran Priesthood, Sister Marigold saw this in her and knew that she had found the perfect person to take as her new student. Throughout all the years, Dahlia's real 'father', the Erinyes Nadesya knew that her daughter was still alive, but due to being in a human body, she could not pinpoint the child's location. She doesn't even know what she will do when she finds the young Paladin.
