They'd still get twice as many evil summons with the 5th level ability. Paladin casting can't really keep up with the class though, so it'd be mostly a cleric with a few paladin levels.

I'm just wondering whether hypothetically it would clash with a paladins ideals not to deal or consort with evil beings. A Paladin/(clr)/Malconvoker and a Paladin/Grey Guard could make a fun pair.
