Proposed New Spells/Invocations

Swimming The Styx [p. 124 Complete Mage]
You channel the power of the fiendish river, and become an aquatic creature.
Least Invocation; 1 stnd Act, Transmutation
Range: Personal
Duration: 24 Hours (D)
Effective Spell lvl 2nd
Effect: You become an Aquatic creature and gain a Swim Speed equal to you base land speed and all benefits derieved from having a natural swim speed including a +8 Racial bonus on swim checks. In addition you gain the ability to breath water as well as air.

Nightmare Made Real [p. 124 Complete Mage] (Note-This Invocation is the same as the spell Nightmare Terrain in the same book, except for the bolded portions)

You cloak the surrounding area with phantasmagoric figures, creating a horrific dreamscape, making any terrain look, sound, and smell like something out of a nightmare -writhing, vegetation, disembodied limbs, animated corpses, smoking pits, miasmic vapors, vile stenches, or whatever else springs from your fiendish imagiation.

Greater Invocation; 1 stnd Act, Illusion (Shadow)
Range: Close (25ft +5ft/2 lvls)
Area: Five 10ft cubes + One 10ft cube/Lvl
Duration: 1 round/lvl
Save: Will (if interacted with)

Creatures inside, entering, OR viewing the area are entitled to make will saves to resist the illusion. Creatures in the area that failed saves become entagled. While mostly illusory, the hazards you create are partially real. All creatures within the area that did not save take 1d6 points of damage at the start of your turn. All creatures regardless the outcome of the save within 5 ft of each other have concealment, and those 10ft away have total concealment. The caster may make Hide checks in this area even if they are observed (no other creatures gain this benefit). If you use this invocation a second time while a previous nightmares made real is still present, the previous effect ends.**

New Section

A thought-in the future, there should be an new section to group any Vile feats or other feats that require an Evil alignment or some similar thing. Sort of an Anti-Heroic abilities if you will.

I also want to call attention to (for now) the 0th and 1st Lvl Divine spells from BoVD/FCI for future approval.

"-before it was banned in Living Greyhawk, people were talking about fighters taking three levels of wizard ONLY to get Wraithstrike. It also has the effect of making spellsword or arcane trickster builds much stronger, and melee wizards (perhaps using a skilful weapon or Arcane Disciple: Divine Power to improve their BAB) can also become very dangerous. I have a problem with anything that gives fighters who dabble in magic, or full-caster wizards wielding swords, an immense advantage in melee damage over non-magical meleers. Also, it makes dragons just horrendously scary."

I dont know about spells now, but I do know at least feats are are on a 'personal' basis. In any case, because theres a lot of them I'm only personally asking about the ones that on the Cleric list (albeit, some of them are on Druid, or Sor/Wiz which has a lot of nice ones I can use with scrolls.)

As some of you have noticed I've been slowly filling out the PHB spells. Next I will move on to adding the approved PHB2 spells for easy access. What I would like to know is are there any spells that are band that have not been updated on the sight. I think I seen something about Dancing Weapons, if so does the same apply for spells that have the same affect? Also, are books such as the Complete Champion, Book of Exalted Deeds (Good guys only), Complete Adventurer, and the Races books ok?

PHB2 i think is all approved though I am will be monitoring certain spells for abuse. Most other spells are on a per request basis.

When you cast this ancient spell, you trace a rune that symbolizes the purity of the natural world that fills the area with a pulse of light. The spell affects a number of abberations whose total combined HD does not exceed twice your caster level. Closer abberations are affected first. Any abberation in the area must make a fortitude save or suffer the following affects. Each effect last one round, when an abberation recovers from one effect it move up to the next one in the table. An abberation that is dazed, becomes nauseated the next round, and then sickened the round after, and then suffers no effects thereafter.

Up to Caster Level + 10 None
Up to Caster Level +5 Sickened (-2 on checks, saves, and attack rolls)
Up to Caster Level Nauseated (Can only take single move actions)
Up to Caster Level -5 Dazed (Can take no actions)

One thing the lost cities share, despite their diverse locations, is a history of loss and despair. Had no tragedy occurred, the city would have remained vibrant. Yet something — some terrible fate, be it plague, disaster, war, madness, or worse — befell the ancient citizens of the now empty city, and an echo or remnant of their final hours is firmly imprinted in what ruined stones still remain in their one-time homes.

Ghost storm calls upon the residual energies of anguish, fear, terror, and despair embedded in the stones of the region and magnifies them to a terrifying degree. As the spell is cast, dozens of wrathful, shrieking spirits rise out of the ground and ruined walls of the surroundings, filling the area with a whirling storm of wretchedness and agony. As the spirits move around and through any creatures caught in the area, their anguish and pain is transferred to any living creatures in the area.

All living creatures in a ghost storm who make a Fortitude save simply become shaken for 1 round. A new saving throw is required each round the creature stays in the ghost storm. Living creatures that fail this saving throw flail and claw at the ghosts in a hopeless attempt to prevent the spirits from assaulting them. The only action such a creature can take is a single move action per turn, and the creature loses its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any). Worse, the unhealthy contact with the necromantic spirits of a ghost storm inflict one negative level for each failed Fortitude save. Negative levels imparted by a ghost storm fade at the rate of one per minute once a character exits the ghost storm area; no saving throw is required to remove negative levels gained from this spell, but otherwise the negative levels have their normal effects (see the Glossary). Any creature who gains negative levels equal to his Hit Dice is immediately slain.

Once created, a ghost storm remains stationary. A creature that enters the area must immediately save against its effects, even if he has already made a previous saving throw against the same spell.

This spell is far less effective in areas other than lost cities (a "city" is a community with a population 5,000; see page 137 in the Dungeon Master's Guide). If the spell is cast in a location where a city never existed, the ghosts produced fill only a single 10-foot square.

You use negative energy to temporarily create skeletons or zombies, but you cant create more undead than twice your HD. The Undead are mindless and not initially under your command. They will attack the nearest living creatures.

Material Component: 100gp worth of onyx
