Background

Character History:
Born on Earth, twenty four years before current date, in midwinter, within the city of Los Angeles to a middle-class devout family, Jonas lived in a relative safe environment, in a residential neighborhood, free of many of the troubles a city of Los Angeles' size sees on a day to day basis. Gifted from a young age with common sense and the ability to sway other children toward his words, he was recognized in time by teachers as perhaps a kind, compassionate child who tried to the best of his ability to influence his school-mates toward good.

Both parents being devout Lutherans, they taught the boy love for religion and clergy, a topic that awoke interest in him from a young age. Growing up through grammar school, Junior High and eventually High-school his qualities persisted along with his gift for physical activities. A talented fencer and polo player he was the interest of many girls throughout high-school, but much to their dismay, the settled, gentle young man was often in the company of an asian girl named Fen Mei Wong.

The two had even dated for a while, but remained best friends afterwards as he chose to follow a religious and military career by becoming a US Air Force Chaplain. Developing an interest for flying and excelling at it, the military chaplain was quickly courted by NASA to become an Astronaut, after his training becoming the first priest to ever set foot into a Space Shuttle.

As Mission "Icarus" of the Raven experimental Orbital vehicle launched it all looked well, yet upon the return trip a malfunction caused the shuttle to experience problems on re-entry. Internal damage was the cause of the alleged explosion of the Raven vehicle just over the runway. Nothing was found of the crew and whisked from among the flame Jonas found himself onto another world.

Chosen by Tamara, the Dragon Goddess plunged Jonas onto Therafim, stripped of his jumpsuit, landing in the fields close to the City of Bridges.
