Though slender in build, Kara's physical appearance and abilities closely mirror those of her draconic ancestors. That is to say she is deceptively strong and resilient for her size. Long hair of a soft brown tone which seems to take on a more golden blonde hue when standing in the sun light. Most of her body is covered in smooth golden scales. A powerful tail following in her wake and a pair of dragon wings resting upon her back.

Appearance
A strikingly beautiful creature with strong draconic features. Notably, powerful wings resting on her back, a strong tail and scales of the purest gold covering most of her body. Leaving her face, neck, chest and stomach bare skined. Auburn haired which if often tied back and eyes reminiscent of molten gold with a gaze that can sometimes seem to piece into a person's soul. Kara carries herself gracefully and speaks well when addressed by someone in a position of power. But among friends, she's a lot more relaxed and open hearted.
Birth and Family
Kara's hometown is a remote mountain village known as Stonehaven. It was a joyous occasion for the villagers as a golden dragon's child could mean nothing but good fortune. Kara's mother, Evelynne still resides in Stonehaven. Kara is an only child, no sisters or brothers but wasn't lonely by any stretch of the imagination. Tutored by her great grand father (a mature adult gold dragon). Kara grew into a fine woman and maintains a good relationship with her family. Seeing all good aligned dragons as extended relatives in some way.
Education and Work
Kara's earier years of learning were simple. Magic hadn't yet manifested in her but she possessed a strong body and lots of endurance. And so she was trained in the use of weapons and armor. Basics of combat and how to use her draconic strength to defend herself. But her studies weren't entirely martial. Kara's mother was a well versed and worldly woman and thus, the spark of academics also flourishing in the study of draconic history. Yearning to learn more about what she was.
Knowledge, recorded history and lore are all very important to this young dragon. As valuable as any treasure she may hoard. In this light, Kara works at Bahamut's temple. Maintaining the library and records there when her other strengths aren't in demand.
Friends
Beloved by the village, one in particular held a special place in the dragoness' heart. A young boy by the name of Cedric. They were quite close and many considered them to be a couple for a while. Kara's first brush with love. But alas, this possible relationship came to an end when Kara left the village to see the world.
Attitudes and Beliefs
Kara reveres her draconic ancestors and thus, their deities. Particularly, Bahamut, the king of all dragons. She believes evil needs to be met with an opposing good so that the weaker have a chance to blossom and live free of harm. As such, she considers those who follow the path of darkness to be enemies and like the gold dragons of her ancestry, she doesn't hesitate to strike at evil when it rears it's ugly head.
Kara's word to her friends is an everlasting bond. And people she considered allies and friends can count on this dragon to come to their aid when the need arises.
Magic flows naturally through her blood. It's as much a part of her reality as breathing. It's her belief that this magic is also a gift from her heritage and that she has an obligation to develop it along with her physical prowess. Kara's goal is to come as close to emulating her draconic ancestors as possible in both mental and physical abilities.
Edges and Flaws
While physically powerful and magically inclined like her draconic ancestors, Kara is not without her faults. Within her, the instincts of lairing and hoarding are also present. Though mostly under control, Kara tends to want to accumulate wealth for no reason other than it's there. It's instinct.. but not one that overwhelms her. Nor one that comes before her friendships.
Though her enemies are few, she considers anyone who follows the path of darkness to be untrustworthy.. and dragon slayers (be they man or beast) are natural enemies to her as well. Good reason not withstanding.

Character History:
In a remote village known only to the dwarves as Stonehaven at the foothills of a mountain range. Secluded, bordering on completely isolated from the world. A human woman by name of Evelynne gives birth to a remarkable creature. Fathered by the descendant of the gold dragon Kyuvildens, Kara'nydraess is born. A surprise to some but a welcome omen to the locals who were eager to help raise her. The result, a kind and caring young lady. Very much aware of her bloodline and ever conscious of her strength. Educated in as much as she could learn from such a small village. Learning the basics of combat from retired adventurers and even basic graps of magic. Though she has the potential for it, the spark of the arcane has yet to manifest itself in her. The village wizard believes it to only be a matter of time before it does however.
Taking on the guise of the village magistrate, Kyuvildens has maintained this small village for years. Visitors, travellers and the rare new resident are never made aware of his draconic nature. This unspoken rule is followed by all the villagers and he likes it that way. Prefering to only reveal his true nature when the situation is appropriate or demands a more dominant presence. Both wise and just, he settles any disputes with diplomacy and is never questioned by the other villagers.
Evelynne Nyatia is not of this village but she has resided there for some time now. Having left the city Avalon to find herself. Losing her way and ending up in her new home. Some say it was good fortune. Kyuvildens believes it to be fate. Regardless of how or why, she was quickly accepted by the small Community and soon bore the child descended of a gold dragon. Gentle and shy. Traits which were passed to her daughter along with the wanderlust she had in her youth.
Upon reaching the age of 15, Kara'nydraess celebrated her comming of age like all people in her village do dispite her different bloodline. This celebration was marked by a wonderous occurance. As forseen by her father, Kara received the graces of the divine. A dream both she and her father had shared for repeating nights. Bahamut had chosen young Kara to become a champion of good but her path to that end would be of her own choosing. With a minimum of posessions, Kara embarked on a personal pilgrimage to test herself and her worth. Neither seen nor heard of for a full year with perhaps small accounts of a dragon-like woman from travelers and rumors of a peaceful dragon residing high within the cliffs. Returning to he homer when the year had passed, she had taken the first steps towards an unknown future. Even her wise father could not provide much insight. Only that she would have to find her way to what she felt in her heart was the path to follow.
Bidding friends and family farewell once more with promises of returning someday as she set out into the world to find something. She knew not what she was looking for. Only that she would know when she'd found it. Leaving the seclusion or her mountainside village once more. Journeying to the east, the homeland of her mother. To Avalon
