I'd like to run more quests, but have had a consistent problem with getting people together, because I never know who's around and with what characters, and it's just a complete mess. Set-up alone can take an hour. And I hate actually trying to schedule people myself. So because I'm lazy, I'm going to make the players do the scheduling. Consider it earning your XP. This also helps because I seriously can't keep track of who has what characters. This is a great chance for people to get high level quests, because I'm specifically going to schedule stuff ahead of time, so I know what to prepare for, and will be making coherent quests that don't suck because they were pulled out of my ass at the last moment.
Anyone is allowed to get at least three people together and request that I run something for them, as long as they give an appropriate day and timeslot. So here are the rules:
*Any character using level-adjustment buyoff is banned until further notice.
*Timeslots should be given three to four hours for quests to run, and be scheduled to start no earlier than 6pm eastern on weekdays, and end no later than midnight eastern. Saturday and Sunday can be scheduled as early as noon eastern. The occasional Saturday (often the second of the month, but not always) is off-limits, but otherwise OK. I CAN do other time slots if it's difficult for you to make these. If you want me to run at an odd hour, including past midnight eastern, it's preferably done on my weekday, but I am willing to suit my schedule to match you.
*Multiple timeslots are allowed, and in fact encouraged. I'd rather run multi-part quests for the same group. So if a bunch of people can get together five times in a month, that's perfect.
*All characters must be within a three level range. Exceptions are made for level adjustment characters (who can count as less, if they're the highest) or characters I know can work together.
*The initial sign-up should be its own "tab" in the discussion portion of this post. Additional sign ups should all be posted under the same tab. Chatter should be kept to a relative minimum - I can be contacted on IRC for that. Priority will be given to people who first made the sign-up, people who I roleplay with often, and new people (for low-level quests).
*I need at least three days notice for most quests. Any quest that involves characters of higher level than 11 I want at least one week's notice. A quest isn't on until I confirm in the discussion thread, but will attempt to do so ASAP.
*You are not expected to provide the quest idea; just the characters and timeslot. If you have specific suggestions, I'll listen, but no promises.
- Now open for paragon quests! As to be expected, these can break the three player required rules. Please PM me either on IRC or the forums to arrange details for a paragon quest!
And that's it. I apologize if this seems like I'm making people do a lot of work to get a quest, but I'm hopefully not - a simple "Hey, us three want to do something next Thursday evening" is all you really need!
