Kiran's history isn't a happy one, but, with that being sad, it isn't an entirely sad one either. Her father was born in Crescent, Kiran's not sure of the city. He moved to Heaven's Tear when he was in his late teens and met her mother, Sara. Almost too soon after they were married, Kiran was born. They never wanted children that early, and they didn't want a girl either. Especially a human girl. Sara was a beastfolk, a panther. Christopher and Sara wanted children that took after her. Kiran looked 100% human. They kept her though, for a couple of years, but their life just wasn't want they wanted. Christopher had a brother that lived in Bahgraihb. She was sent there to live with him. His name was Victor.
Victor was a bachelor, and would never marry. It wasnt' that he didn't like women. He liked them very much and bedded a different one almost every night. He didn't want the commitment that came with having a single woman. Kiran didn't hinder his life too much. She was a quiet child. Her parents didn't show her much love when she was little, not that she remembers that now. It did affect the way she grew up. Victor didn't show her much love either, but she never expected that from him. He was always "master" never "Uncle" and certainly never "father."
He was a master with swords, and as soon as he felt comfortable enough around Kiran, he put a wooden sword in her hand and taught her the movements she would need when she used a metal blade. It was the closest Kiran ever came to affection from anyone in her life. Victor didn't allow visitors during the day, and when he would bed a woman, it was always away from his home. Kiran didn't develop the ability to connect with other people on a personal level. How could she with the adult influences in her life? She's never regretted it though. Never once has she said she wishes her life had been different. She loves the art her master taught her. She works hard to improve upon it.
Victor was finally tired of Kiran, he had taught her all he could and she could only better herself from that point if she chose to, so he sent her away, to go wherever she wished as long as stayed away from the only home she ever had. It wasn't a command, just a request. Kiran will visit, someday. She traveled to Avalon, with a hope that something would be there to comfort her, to teach her what she had never had. She didn't know what she wanted, of course, not until she was out in the world.
Her wish came true. She met Kaellack in a random encounter in a kitchen of a house they were at to protect them from the demon siege. Feelings most everyone has was awakened in the young dark haired girl. They scared her for a while but she slowly gave into them and let herself get close to Kaellack. It's hard for her to relax though. Victor was always very proper. The way he spoke was the best he could. He never used a contraction, never spoke in a way it would make someone think he was uneducated. He was rather well educated actually, and he taught Kiran to be the same way.
She was taught to be proper, humble, but proud. Never boast of your abilities, they will shine on their own. Never boast of your knowledge, it will come through in your actions. Never talk about what you want, just reach for it and obtain it. She's learning that isn't the way the world is, nor is it the way people are. People talk about themselves, they laugh, they love. Slowly the ice that was forced around Kiran's heart from the pain of training in her childhood and the missing affection when she was growing up is melting. She's not sure how to explain it to Kaellack. She wants to though… Perhaps someday, soon.

A: Appearance

She's compact, dark skinned, dark haired. Her eyes are a contradiction. They are jade green and full of life while Kiran is cold and reserved.

She's unremarkable in appearance, save for her deep green eyes.

Kiran does not use contractions. She's slowly learning them, but her first language is the language of Crescent.
