giant-s-pets: Two headed giant and giant hamsters.
I and my companions were hired to stop a scourge that was eating a nearby towns crop fields. The scourge turned out to be giant hamsters that were being released to gorge themselves by their owner, a two headed Giant (Ettin). Fenris did a good job and managed to knock the giant down so the rest of us could hack him to bits. After we turned our attention to the hamsters I tried to get them to calm down but one tried to eat me. Luckily I don't taste very good and it spit me out. We needed to end their lives but now the village can survive. Before returning to town however one of my companions put on an unusual belt and managed to change himself into a her. I suppose he, she?, is still trying to get the changes reversed.
faces-of-the-dead: Giant spear wielding eels
Today we went out on a ship and visited a coral reef that has been the center of several disturbing attacks on fishermen. The crew dropped anchor and hid below decks while several large walking eel like creatures (anguillians) climbed up the side of the ship and attacked us. We were lucky they hired so many of us to take care of this problem or we likely would not have made it back alive. Many of my group were ill at ease around the water and needed to shed their armor for fear of drowning. I am sure that contributed to the danger we were in.
of-books-and-bookworms-part-1 Flying books and animate chairs.
My companions and I were hired to head out to the library and to find the reason the re-builders were claiming it was haunted. The library really is a wreck, but we discovered several animated objects that seemed to be a symptom of the disturbance. Unfortunately we were rather worn down before we could head upstairs to find out what was causing these objects to move about. Perhaps we shall return and finish the source off.
troll-bridge One troll, two troll, see troll, see wizard?
While traveling today a group of people along with myself came across a shepherd boy who was prevented from crossing a bridge. Apparently some trolls took up residence and were charging a fee to pass, but the boy wasn't able to afford it. We teamed up and attempted to remove the troll, only to find out there were two trolls. It was a hard fight, and I am sad to say that despite my best efforts one of my companions, named Rhine, passed away. After destroying the troll he seems to have self resurrected himself like some kind of abomination. Then a wizard attacked us, blasting everyone with his fireball and nearly wiping out everyone. Despite this, we managed to rush and finish him off before anyone else passed on. I've met a few more interesting people on my last two adventures and hope I have a chance to talk with some of them again soon.
kobold-cult-leader Prison Breakout
Some kobalds managed to break their half dragon leader out of prison by burrowing under the stockades. We were hired to go flush the kobalds out and bring the leader back alive. Thoes sling bullets sure do hurt, but luckly nothing fatal came my way. Apparently one of the paladins hauled a little girl along for it and she needed a lot of attention to keep alive.
githyanki-raid
While out walking Fenris outside of town I noticed that one of the nearby villages appeared to be on fire. Some other adventurers. Some other adventures and I went to investigate and found a rider had escaped to look for help. Apparently several Githyanki slavers were attempting to pillage their homes. We managed to eliminate most of the raiders, but their leader escaped. At least the village is safe for now.
Character History:
Krugash was born in the small city of Pendelhorn, a city surrounded by lush fields. Kurg Originally sought training as a knight or warrior and like most aspiring students started his training at the stable. However his captain's wife made advances towards him one day and Kurg quickly rejected her, fearing it was a test of his honor. Unfortunately she genuinely was interested in him and after being turned down told her husband that Krugash tried to rape her.
Kurg's knight training ended that very same night and he barely managed to escape the city with his life. But the fields around his home were lush, and the captain did not make an effort to hunt him down so Kurg managed to survive on his own for a time. Eventually a druid named Larothar came across him and joined with Krug, teaching him the ways of the land and the stories of the sky.
Eventually Krug was forgiven by the captain of Pendlehorn's knights when the truth got out. But by then Krug had moved on from his younger desires, and his name was still tainted by the false charges . After making peace with his family he decided to try to make his own home in a new city.
Desires and habits
Kurg still likes the idea of being a knight of sorts, but he is no longer comfortable in metal armor. Perhaps he will one day find a different way to realize his dream.
From his time alone, Kurg has also started to take up cooking. While this may not be something men of his race normally do, he is fond making his own meals least someone else botch it up.
It also lets him take care of his riding dog, a gift from his mentor Larothar. Krug feels that in return for his companions protection its only fair that krug in turn helps keep his dog Fenris well.
