Nil was borned in a Dwarven Fortress, named "Alefever". He was a son of a Nobleman Broker, spending most of his time in a Trading Outpost, near the Fortress's entrance.
He and his family had a nice living quarters deep in the fortress, split into two living rooms and office. When Nil was born, His father wanted to give his son a good education, but had no idea what to choose.
He desided to let fate deside who his son will become in future, so he wrote 11 possible professions he wished his son will learn on diffrent pieces of paper, put them in diffrent identical envelopes and shuffled, pulling a random one out.
The paper inside envelope had one word written on it, "Wizard". After Nil's fifteen's birthday, father hired an Elven Adventuring Wizard as teacher for young Nil and young Dwarf began his trainings on the way to become a wizard himself. Nil spent 15 years,
learning new spells and training already known ones, among with history of Therafim and Arcane knownledge, becoming more powerfull with every day. Along with boy's knownledge, fortress was also growing, becoming more rich and one day, a nearby setlement of Goblins desided to attack it
in hope of getting Alefever's rich ammounts of valuables. Besieged fortress fought bravely, but was not able to hold for long, due to bigger sizes of goblin armies. Enemy managed to breach main fortress's gates, slaying everything inside. Nil's parents were killed by goblins too. Only few survived the attack, escaping fortress trough a secret escape tunnel deep in the fortress.
One of the survived dwarfs was Nil, loosing everything he had, except his spellbook and few gold coins, he was forced to abandon his previous life style and begin adventuring…
