Character History:
The pieces of Octavi's story are few and far between. Even those who have known him for a great deal of time only know the barest extent of the constant sadness that follows him. The sadness of a lost love and the self loathing of failure.
What is clearly known is that Octavi was born in Carloft to parents who originally hailed from someplace in Carango. Here, Octavi was the eith son born to his mother, which a full half of his sons born previous having died in Carango. Octavi's parents were somewhat wealthy merchants and were able to put Octavi through school. There he met and became fast friends with Thurash, a half-elf student of his age.
Thurash and Octavi spent most of their free time together, exploring the small forests just outside the city. Soon thereafter, their studies changed with Thurash seeking knowledge of the Arcane while Octavi spent his time learning of nature and its connection to the divine. It would only be a few years before the two went their separate ways to pursue their specilizations.
Octavi spent a few years learning the rites and mysteries of the Druidic order and corresponded with Thurash often through letters and, towards the end of their instruction, magic. One night, Thurash implored Octavis's help in an expedition that he and his classmates were to take into the mountains. Octavi, having his own scholarly ideals, declined. Thurash asked for several more nights until, finally, he stopped asking. More than that, stopped corresponding. After a few weeks and after ultimately being released from the tutelage of the Druidic Circle, he made his way to the Arcane academy where he found that Thurash and his classmates perished during their excursion.
