Shadowlords give up part of their soul so that they can fight evil with evil. Shadowlords walk a razors edge always striving to keep control of the darkness that they have allowed to enter their bodies, at their core belief Shadowlords believe that they themselves are damned so that others may be saved.

To qualify to become a shadowlord, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Skills:Move Silently 10 ranks, Hide 10 ranks
Feats:Blind-Fight, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack
Spellcasting: Must either posses the ability to Shadow Jump, Shadow Jaunt, or be able to cast dimension door as a spell or spell-like ability
Special: Sneak Attack +2d6

Alignment: Any nongood

The shadowlords class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Profession (Wis), Search (Int), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spot (Wis), Tumble (Dex), Use Magic Device (Cha), and Use Rope (Dex).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:
Shadowlords gain no proficiency in any weapon or armor.

At each Shadowlord level, the character gains the ability to cast a small number of arcane spells. He gains arcane spells per day according to the above table and must choose his spells from the Shadowlord spell list. The shadowlords caster level is equal to his shadowlord level. To cast a spell, the shadowlord must have an Int score of at least 10+ the spell's level. Bonus spells are based on Int, and saving throws against these spells have a DC 10 + spell level + the shadowlord Int modifier. When the shadowlord gets 0 spells of a given level, such as 0 1st level spells at 1st level the Shadowlord gets only bonus spells.

Shadowsight (Ex):
Gifted with a mystical connection to shadow and darkness, the shadowlord gains a superior form of darkvision with a 60 foot range. He can see through any form of normal or magical darkness without hindrance

Hide in Plain Sight (Su):
A shadowlord can use the Hide skill even while being observed. As long as she is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, a shadowlord can hide herself from view in the open without anything to actually hide behind. She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow.

One with Shadow (Su):
At will the shadowlord's body becomes blured as he seems to enter in and out of darkness on a constant basis. Granting a 20% miss chance to attacks made against the shadowlord as well as a +10 bonus to Hide and Move Silently. Direct sunlight will dispell this effect.

Shadow Stride (Su):
At 3rd level the shadowlord gains the ability to move through shadows simillar to the Shadow Jump ability. At 3rd level she can jump a total of 50ft. Distance increases by 10ft per Shadowlord level. Jumps may be broken down in 10ft incriments until they have reached their total distance for the day.

Shadow Pounce (Ex):
At 4th level a shadowlord learns how to attack swiftly from the shadows. Any time that he uses an ability, spell, or effect with the teleportation descriptor he may execute a full attack upon completion of the teleportation. The shadowlord must have line of sight on the intended target from his original location.

Shadow Discorporation (Su):
At 5th level a shadowlord learns how to use his mastery of shadows to cheat death. If the shadowlord is in shadow or darkness any damage that would reduce him to 0 or bellow instead has a chance to discorporate him. On a successful Reflex save (DC 5+ dmg dealt) he simply breaks apart into dozens of flitting shadows and vanishes. At the next sunset the shadowlord reappears at a sport of his choosing withing one mile of the place where he was forced to discorporate.

Death Attack (Ex):
At 6th level the shadowlord gains the ability to make a death attack as the assassin ability. If the shadowlord has levels in the assassin prestige class he may add his assassin and shadowlord levels to determine the DC for his death attack
