You hold the husk of the spider in your hand
and speak the words of the spell. The husk
vanishes, but leaves in your palm the brief
glowing image of a spider.

You poison a subject by making a successful
melee touch attack. The poison
deals 1d6 points of Strength damage
immediately and another 1d6 points of
Strength damage 1 minute later. Each
instance of damage can be negated by a
Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 your caster
level + your relevant spellcasting ability
modifi er (Intelligence for wizards and
assassins, Charisma for sorcerers).

Material Component: A poisonous
spider, alive or dead.
